Community Resource Fair to Offer Free Services and Support in Colorado City

COLORADO CITY – A free Community Resource Fair will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 700 S. Central Street in Colorado City, bringing together local organizations and community members under the theme “Building and Serving Our Community.”

The event, hosted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints building, will provide free food, socializing opportunities, resource booths, and professional presentations to all community members.

Diverse Topics to Be Covered

Attendees can visit information booths covering four main areas:

Education – Including online education options, vocation and trades programs, and study skills improvement

Employment – Featuring sessions on improving employment prospects, networking strategies, and job search techniques

Health & Wellness – With representatives from Creek Valley Health, food insecurity reduction programs, and healthcare career information

Service Opportunities – Highlighting JustServe.org, community volunteer programs, and mentoring and coaching opportunities

Special Presentations Throughout the Day

The fair will feature messages from local mayors at 11:45 a.m., with closing remarks scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Breakout room presentations will begin at noon and occur every 15 minutes.

Two presentation rooms will focus on different aspects of community support:

Room #1 – Individual Care will cover topics including managing diabetes, diet and exercise, overcoming addictions, creating self-reliance plans, strengthening emotional resilience, finding better employment, pursuing education, and strengthening family relationships.

Room #2 – Caring for Others will address being a job mentor and learning support coach, youth sports participation and coaching, finding community service opportunities, emergency preparedness and response, addressing urgent needs, overcoming food insecurity, and temporary assistance programs.

Free Lunch Incentive

To encourage full participation, lunch will be provided to anyone who visits five booths and attends two presentations. Free snacks and treats will be available throughout the event.

Organizers emphasize that the fair provides an opportunity to learn, socialize, and serve the community.
