Colorado City, AZ – The Colorado City Town Hall is now undergoing a new construction project, marking a significant step in a long-anticipated remodel and accessibility upgrade project. This work represents a continued commitment by the Town to enhance both the functionality and the openness of its primary civic building.

The current project, budgeted for Fiscal Year 2025, encompasses several key improvements: the addition of an underground records room, upgrades to the existing concrete stairs, and the installation of ADA-compliant access ramps. Following delays in engineering design that impacted the initial timeline, the Town issued the project for bid in late April. Two bids were received, with Crimson View Enterprises, LLC, submitting the lowest responsive bid at $139,560.00. The Town Council awarded the contract, and construction is now underway.

This latest phase builds upon the success of a previous remodel completed in 2023. That earlier renovation fundamentally transformed the atmosphere of Town Hall by removing physical barriers and creating a more accessible and welcoming environment. Prior to 2023, entrance to the building was restricted, requiring approved access through a locked front door with heavy dark tinting, which conveyed a message of limitation. The 2023 renovation replaced this setup with an open, transparent, and publicly accessible entrance, signaling a clear shift in the Town’s approach to engaging with its residents.

Since then, the current Town Council has consistently worked to restore trust and ensure that Town Hall remains open and inviting to both residents and visitors.

A key element of the new construction involves creating an underground records room.  This additional space will also allow the Town to free up an internal office currently dedicated to records storage.

With upgraded ADA access and visible improvements to the building’s front appearance, the remodel further reinforces the Town’s commitment to transparency, accessibility, and civic pride. Construction is expected to continue throughout the summer. The main entrance to Town Hall remains accessible to visitors and residents.
