FREDONIA, Ariz. — Residents of Arizona Strip and surrounding area will have a rare opportunity to step inside American history this spring, when the Road to 250: Arizona Traveling Museum makes a scheduled stop at the Fredonia Fire Department on April 4. The exhibit — a custom-retrofitted trailer packed with immersive panels, interactive activations, and a genuine replica of the Liberty Bell — is crisscrossing all 15 of Arizona’s counties as part of the state’s commemoration of the United States’ 250th anniversary.

The initiative, launched by the Arizona America250 Commission and presented by Banner Health, kicked off on February 14, 2026 — Arizona’s Statehood Day — in Prescott, the original capital of the Arizona Territory. Since then, the museum has been winding its way through communities large and small, bringing a blend of national history and Arizona’s own distinctive story directly to the people.

Inside the trailer, visitors will find immersive display panels tracing defining moments in American and Arizona history, a short looping video experience, and hands-on activations designed for all ages. One of the most popular features is the Dear America, Love Arizona postcard activity, which invites visitors to share their own stories and reflections.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is a replica Liberty Bell — one of a limited number located anywhere in the country. The bell, which typically resides at the Arizona State Capitol in Phoenix, will travel with the museum throughout its statewide tour before returning to the Capitol for permanent installation upon the tour’s conclusion. For many rural Arizonans, this will be the closest they’ve ever come to one of the nation’s most enduring symbols of freedom and independence.

The museum is fully ADA accessible and admission is entirely free, made possible through the generous support of presenting sponsor Banner Health, along with APS, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, SRP, Freeport-McMoRan, and numerous other community partners.

The Fredonia stop is scheduled for Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Fredonia Fire Department, located at 20 Brown St, Fredonia, AZ 86022. For the latest schedule and event updates, visit america250az.org/events or follow @america250AZ on Facebook, Instagram, X, and Threads.
