Stewart Charles Knudson, 55, of Hildale, UT, passed away February 17,
2025. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Born on March 21, 1969, in Salt Lake City, UT, Stewart was the son of
Charles Bassett Knudson and Janice Margaret Smith. He spent much of
his early childhood in Short Creek, until the untimely passing of his
father when Stewart was just eight years old. After his father’s
death, his mother remarried Earl J. Knudson (Jack), and the family
relocated to Salt Lake City. Stewart worked at Mark Twain Restaurant,
a family-owned business, where he learned invaluable lessons about
hard work and responsibility. After finishing high school, he returned
to Southern Utah to further his education, He attended Southern Utah
State College, earning a master’s degree in accounting and business
law.
In June 1991, Stewart married Allison Jo Barlow, and together they
began building their family. Five years later, in June 1996, Stewart
married Audra Barlow, with whom he shared a strong and loving bond.
Throughout his life, Stewart was a devoted father and husband, proud
of his family and the legacy they were creating together.
Stewart leaves behind his wives, Allison and Audra, and their
children: Nicole, Natalie, Nancy, Allie, Lisa, Amy, Stacie, Stewart
Jr., Stanton, Steven, Janice, Rosaleta, Joleah, Brenda, Beth, Nathan,
Levi, Auston, and Jakayla. He is also survived by his cherished
grandchildren: Zane, Zoey, Brendon, Jason, Ayden, Tayson, Payzlie,
Zayla, Xander, Eloise, Kamden, Preston, Kadari, Kiden, Laika, Zeke,
Danika, and Kaysey. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles
Bassett Knudson; his mother, Janice Smith Knudson; and his brother,
Mark Allen Knudson.
Known for his generosity and kind heart, Stewart was always ready to
lend a helping hand to those in need. He opened his home and his heart
to many, welcoming anyone who sought comfort or companionship. His
love for a good game of poker was well known among his friends and
family, and he was always eager for a friendly challenge.
As a businessman and entrepreneur, Stewart’s career spanned numerous
ventures. He worked as an accountant for various companies and was a
natural salesman (although he would say he wasn’t), with a knack for
connecting with people and sharing his vision. Stewart’s passion for
business was only rivaled by his immense love and pride for his
family. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and compassion will
continue to inspire those who knew him.
A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at
12:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Spilsbury Mortuary. 110

his family for opening their hearts and home to Stewart and his family
over the past year.
Stewart will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will
live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and community.
