GEORGE – Southern Utah residents were treated to an unforgettable sight when SpaceX launched 23 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit on Monday evening, casting streaks of light across the night sky. The launch, which took place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, lit up the skies in a breathtaking display, drawing the attention of stargazers throughout the region.
According to Patrick Wiggins, Utah’s NASA Ambassador, the phenomenon was a stunning example of modern space exploration, with the satellites gliding through the atmosphere in perfect formation, creating a visible streak that could be seen across the southern sky.
The launch, which occurred at 7:09 p.m. Mountain Time, marked the 23rd mission for the booster supporting this flight, a significant milestone for SpaceX’s reusable rocket technology.
